POSH SOCIETY**** Recipe of the WeEk**** YUMmmYyyyyy!

This week cook up something with a burst of citrus!!! This weeks recipe is easy, quick and absolutely DeLISH!!!
                   ****Grilled Lime Scampi****
This is the perfect recipe for you to quickly whip up for friends, fam, or the sig. other ;) So dazzle in the kitchen and show off your skillz!

Ingredients
1 pound peeled and deveined large shrimp
1/3 cup fresh lime juice, divided
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup butter
2 green onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup white wine
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Combine shrimp, 1/4 cup lime juice, and olive oil in a bowl, tossing to coat. Set aside.

Melt butter in a large skillet. Add green onions and garlic, and sauté 1 to 2 minutes. Add wine, cayenne pepper, salt, and remaining lime juice. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes.

Grill shrimp over medium-high heat 3 minutes or until opaque. Toss shrimp in lime-butter sauce, and serve immediately.

Note: If it's pouring rain and you don't want to gear up like that famous yellow-clad fisherman to grill dinner, drain shrimp from the marinade and cook them in the lime-butter sauce in a large covered skillet for about 5 minutes.

Pour: Here are a few easygoing whites that are also easy on the wallet: 3 Blind Moose Chardonnay, Blackstone Winery Monterey County Pinot Grigio, Nobilo Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, and Talus Collection Pinot Grigio. Feel free to use any of these in the recipe, as well.

The Journey to my heart, my peace, my love... Me & enjoying the paths along the way :o)

As I travel this journey called life I find myself doing a lot of reflecting... Reflecting on relationships, my mistakes, my faults, the things I enjoy doing, the things I used to do that I don't do any more-- that I would like to do... i.e. sports, acting, and writing... I worry. I worry because I feel as though I am missing out on being me... I have said things that I regret and have done things that I am not proud of... Where is this road taking me... Lately I have been trying to center myself though meditation and listening to positive people... I don't want the things of this world-- I want a good, innocent, and calm spirit. I want to have an inner glow about me-- a light that can be seen in the darkest circumstances. I want to be humble, peaceful, more understanding, gentle, and kind to people even when they aren't kind to me. I want to love and don't necessarily have to be loved back... Also I want to be completed. I don't want a man or any thing materialistic to complete me... only to compliment me... and I think that is where I may have went wrong in my previous experiences... I was looking to be completed by a job or a man or a Gucci bag... No no no no Those things are only there to compliment me... I will complete myself by way of education, humility, kindness, charitable acts, and having an attitude of gratitude. I and my faith should be the center of my joy... and that is my goal... 'Mission:: completion' is now in session. I am looking to see the beauty in all things, have a heart of forgiveness and mercy... complain of nothing bc I am blessed beyond all measures. I want to have an appreciation for all things... I'm ready to embark upon this journey of completion and humility, and I am ready to be a woman full of integrity, peace, and kindness... Treating my body as temple, and being healthy is something else that I also want to pursue bc I know my worth.

Song of the Month... and MY ALL TIME FAV!!!!!!!

Lesson Learned!

Sometimes some lies take a minute to fully realize...

This song is a argument between the brilliant mind and the stupid heart
(sing along)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24gjW4Oqj2k

He broke my heart
And now it's raining
Just to rub it in
I'm at your door
I feel so crazy about it
You'll say I told you so
You saw it long ago
You knew he had to go
I finally came 'round
I'm back on solid ground
Can't let it get me down
It's alright
It's alright
It's alright
Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So I call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned

Sometimes
Some lies
Can take a minute
To fully realize
His tears
Your eyes
Thirty seconds to apologize
You give it one more chance
Just like the time before
But he already know you'd give a hundred more
Until that night in bed
You wake up in a sweat
You're racing to the door
Can't take it anymore

I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So I call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned

Life perfect
Ain't perfect
If you don't know what the struggle's for
Falling down ain't falling down
If you don't cry when you hit the floor
It's called the past cause I'm getting past
And I ain't nothing like I was before
You ought to see me now

Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So I call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned

Yes I was burned but I called it a lesson learned
Mistake overturned
So I call it a lesson learned
My soul has returned
So I call it a lesson learned
Another lesson learned
